Job Description:

Vadum is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our Operations Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of the company's reports and statements. This position plays an integral role to the Company strengthening the financial position and cash flow. This role requires strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.Vadum offers a competitive salary and benefits package. If you are a motivated individual with a passion for cost analysis, we encourage you to apply!Key Responsibilities:Perform cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.Develop and maintain systems, procedures, and policies for accounting functions.Prepare weekly financial reports for the Leadership Team.Maintain the general ledger and code invoices.Review and analyze actual costs to identify inaccuracies.Reconciliation of bank accounts and customer accounts.Manage accounts receivable collections and verify deposits.Assist with audits as needed.Prepare and submit invoices timely through WAWF and email.Process bi-weekly payroll.Subject matter expert and assist with training on ERP systems.Assist with annual Incurred Cost Submission to DCAA.Work with Contract Manager to close-out contracts.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities: Maintain US Citizenship.Maintain Security Clearance eligibility.QuickBooks and Unanet/Deltek knowledge.Proficient with accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Education/Training/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, required.3+ years of accounting experience, required.Physical demands:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.EEO StatementIt is the policy of Vadum to provide for and promote equal employment opportunity in employment compensation and other terms and conditions of employment without discrimination based on age, race, creed, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, Vietnam Era Veteran status, genetic predisposition, or carrier status.Vadum is committed to assuring equal employment opportunity and equal access to services, programs and activities for individuals with disabilities.
