We are looking for an experienced HSE Engineer to support our
Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) projects. The primary
responsibility of this role is to oversee the safe execution of
work by C&Q personnel in the field, ensuring compliance with
all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. The
role also includes risk assessment preparation and implementation
of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
--- Oversee and ensure the safe execution of C&Q activities
on-site
--- Develop and maintain risk assessments, job safety analyses
(JSA), and safety procedures
--- Implement and oversee Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures,
ensuring all required LOTO equipment (locks, signage, barriers,
etc.) is available and correctly used
--- Conduct safety inspections to verify compliance with safety
regulations and company policies
--- Collaborate with C&Q teams to integrate safety measures
into daily operations
--- Provide safety training and guidance to C&Q personnel as
needed
--- Report safety incidents and support root cause analysis and
corrective actions
--- Ensure compliance with local and international HSE standards
and regulations
--- Work closely with the Construction Manager to coordinate LOTO
activities
Required Qualifications & Experience:
--- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Health & Safety,
Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
--- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an HSE role within the
pharmaceutical, biotech, or industrial sectors
--- Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, job safety
analysis (JSA), and incident investigation
--- Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety
equipment
--- Familiarity with international HSE standards and regulatory
requirements (OSHA, ISO 45001, etc.)
--- Strong communication and leadership skills to promote a
safety-first culture
--- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams,
including engineering and C&Q personnel
Preferred Qualifications:
--- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), NEBOSH, or equivalent HSE
certification.
--- Experience in large-scale, multisite projects.
--- Knowledge of hazardous energy control and high-risk work
permits.
