responsibilities:This role of Sr. Product Manager for Enterprise
Data & Analytics Platform organization will be partnering with a
cross-functional team of product and engineering to drive the
roadmap for the GSK core data platform, CODE Orange. This role will
own planning, directing, and coordinating activities to develop
solutions for internal customers related to building out core data
platform capabilities to drive GSK's data and analytics needs. In
this role, you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, product
owners, engineering, and leadership to efficiently manage the
priority and development of critical data platform features. This
role will contribute directly to the overall strategy of the
Enterprise Data & Analytics team, gathering BU (Business Unit) Tech
D&A (Data & Analytics) requirements, complete solution design,
deliver end to end solutions. This role will oversee projects which
will enable faster ingestion & acquisition, preparation, and
creation of analytical ready datasets by creating microservices and
self-service data capabilities. There will be ongoing management
for each delivery to improve performance and drive continuous
improvement throughout the product lifecycle.The Sr. Product
Manager supports alignment across teams (Enterprise Data &
Analytics and Business Functions) and a combined strategy to
support efficient collaboration. This role also provides leadership
and direction to the product and engineering team within their
reporting structure, acts as a leader within the team to ensure
team alignment with the broader strategy, and partners with
customers and leaders to validate concepts, vision, requirements,
and roadmaps (feeding into the Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform
Strategy).Additionally, this role:
- Owns and drives the combined roadmap for both technical
delivery of platform capabilities and business deliverables
- Owns delivery for business tech partnerships and
initiatives
- Gathers & owns business tech and business requirements,
complete solution design, deliver end-to-end solutions, include
data ingestion & Acquisition, create microservices to help deliver
faster business value, and provide ongoing management to improve
performance and drive continuous improvement throughout the product
lifecycle.
- Leads project conversations to gain alignment on business
and/or technical outcomes through effective thought leadership in
the subject area and establishing the right forum to bring other
SMEs (Subject Matter Expert) together for an aligned outcome.
- Leads the assembly and execution of an effective cross
functional agile delivery pod with the right membership to drive to
business outcomes in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Drive alignment and provide input to the Enterprise Data &
Analytics Roadmap and Strategy
- Utilizing JIRA to manage the backlog of work as well as
confluence for documentation around the engagements
- Be an evangelist of Product Management, SAFe (Scaled Agile
Framework Enterprise) Agile practices
- Actively contribute to the Data and Product communities across
GSKRole responsibilities and requirements:
- Delivery: Ensure project goals are achieved on time in
alignment with the stakeholders' expectations-ability to manage
complex projects and escalate to other Enterprise Data & Analytics
leadership team members when needing support.
- Methodology: Project methodology will prioritize Agile, but
where regulatory requirements exist may also require traditional
Waterfall approaches or a hybrid between the two.
- Ownership: Take ownership of the development/delivery projects
and help steer until completion.
- Partnering: Work when required with other externals and/or
internal delivery agents to coordinate delivery.
- Governance: Follow governance that allows the projects and
stakeholders to manage overall project performance and manage
program risks within the global nature of some of the
programs.
- Forward-looking: Remain flexible towards technological
approaches to ensure that the best advantage is being taken of
innovative technologies. Keep abreast of industry developments in
analytics and interpret how these would impact services and present
new opportunities.
- Quality, Risk & Compliance: Ensure all risks and issues
associated with owned projects are promptly recorded and managed in
the appropriate Risk & Issue logs.
- Mentoring: Contribute to the overall running of the team,
including the development of talent and capabilities.
- Technical Competency: Be conversant with data, technology and
AI landscape to lead discussions in partnership with Analytics &
Data Architect and Engineers.Why You?Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology
- Experience with cloud compute, cloud infrastructure and cloud
data integration capabilities (preferably Azure).
- 5+ years of professional experience in Product/Project
Management
- 5+ years in Data Platform experience including Data Management
practices (Analytics/Platform)Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and leading the
execution of highly visible complex projects, demonstrating strong
project management execution.
- Experience building and operating GxP-regulated technology in
Life Sciences
- Understanding of Gen AI/LLM technologies and how they integrate
with data platform to drive business value
- Deploying and maintaining enterprise-wide data platforms and
analytics tooling
- Communicating, capturing and documenting requirements for
execution by engineering and driving delivery across
multi-functional teams.
- 7+ years of experience in Product Management including:
- 5+ years utilizing Agile Product Management- Scrum and SAFe
methodologies
- Marketing, educating, and driving adoption of data platform &
analytics products
- Resource allocation management
- Backlog and roadmap creation and
