Job Description:

Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for an Accounting Manager for our well-established client located in Raleigh, NC 27601. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to manage our financial operations and lead a small team. This role will oversee accounting functions, including financial reporting, cash monitoring and month-end close. The Accounting Manager will have two direct reports and work closely with the leadership team to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Manage and supervise two accounting staff members, providing guidance and support.
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including sales tax and financial reporting.
Assist with maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Assist in strategic financial planning and decision-making.
Work with external auditors, tax preparers, and financial institutions as needed.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in financial operations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification a plus, but not required.
5+ years of accounting experience; Supervisory experience a plus
Experience in the HVAC, construction, or service industry is a plus.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
