The Float RN ensures flexibility, adaptability, and high-quality patient care across various units, including medical-surgical, critical care, outpatient, or specialty units as assigned. \n\n Key Responsibilities :\n

  • Provide patient care in multiple units, such as medical-surgical, pediatrics, intensive care, emergency, or outpatient settings, based on staffing needs. \n
  • Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients with varying medical conditions across different departments. \n
  • Deliver patient-centered care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and managing patient conditions. \n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care across units and departments. \n
  • Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatments, and post-care instructions. \n
  • Document patient assessments, care plans, and interventions according to established protocols. \n
  • Respond to changes in patient conditions, adapt care plans as needed, and escalate issues to appropriate clinical staff. \n
  • Ensure adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards. \n
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families in diverse healthcare settings. \n
  • Participate in orientation, training, and continuing education to enhance clinical skills across various departments. \n
  • Assist with the transition of patients between units, ensuring continuity and high-quality care. \n

    • Education : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted. \n

        • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. \n
        • Advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS) may be required for certain units. \n \n \n
