Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:Minimum Years of Experience: 2Traveler Experience: Unit WILL Accept 1st time travelersLocals Accepted / Rate Difference: YesSkills: ICP Monitoring, Ventilator Management, TelemetryCerts: ACLS, BCLS, NIHJOB DETAILS:Staffing Ratios: 2:1; occasionally 3:1Unit will accept 13 week contracts.Shift: 12 HOUR NIGHTS***Cannot guarantee blocked scheduling however they will do the best they can to accommodate.Float Requirement: Yes, to other ICU's and intermediate units.Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.Patient Diagnoses: Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit PatientsSpecial Procedures/Unit Details: This is a 26 bed Neuro and surgical ICU (NSICU) within a comprehensive stroke center that cares for various types of Neurological patients. Ideal candidates will have a significant amount of experience with stroke management, ICP management, seizure management, and critical care patient management including titrating drips and invasive equipment.Special Equipment: EVD managementVentilator managementZoll temperature management/artic sunPCAsUNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, SBARScheduling Type: Block SchedulingOrientation: 24 hrsSCRUBS: Navy Blue or White or a combination of both*** INTERNAL NOTES ******Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
