We take pride in our employees and our employees take pride in being a valued team member at Butterball! -Join us Today and enjoy these great perks! - - - - - - - - - - -Academic Tuition Reimbursement - - - - - - - - - -Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits - - - - - - - - - -Employee Assistance Program - - - - - - - - - -401K - - - - - - - - - -Referral Bonus up to $2,000- Ask us for detailsPosition Summary: -The Shipping Associate position is responsible for transferring finished product from the freezer onto refrigerated trucks.Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:Using sit-down forklift, pull product out of blast and place in freezer racks and load/unload trucks.Use hand-held scanner to scan product into inventory system.Using wrapping machine, wrap product on pallets to specifications.Ability to work safely in sub-zero temperatures (to -40 - F) for periods of up to 2 hours.Must be able to become forklift.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Follows all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Ability to work in a fast paced environment.Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions & policies.Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and possess good leadership skills.Must be able to use basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job.Physical Requirements:Standing 8 - 10 hours per day.Operating powered industrial equipment.Lifting up to 50 lbs.Possible bending, stooping, twisting, and squatting.Working Conditions/Department Description:May work in damp and cold environmentWork with loud and noisy machineryWork in dusty environmentWork with chemical or Fumes - - - - - - - - - - - - -Job assignments are subject to the supervisor's discretion, and job duties may vary day-to-day depending on production needs.We embrace equal opportunity employment.
