Hybrid remote/onsite.Job Location: North Carolina State UniversityAbout the Department: Enterprise Application Services (EAS) is in the Office of Information Technology (OIT) division at North Carolina State University. EAS is responsible for the design, development, implementation, integration, operation, enhancement, maintenance and configuration management of the University's enterprise business applications, data warehouses, business intelligence/analytics platforms, and databases.Job Description: The Enterprise Data Architect and Development Lead will lead the technical design, development, implementation, enhancement, and operation of the University's centralized repository of enterprise data assets. This position is responsible for designing and maintaining an efficient and scalable enterprise data warehouse solution that enables business intelligence and analytics solutions that provide actionable data to campus.Responsibilities:

• Data Warehouse Design and Development:
• Design, implement, and manage a data warehouse architecture as a foundation for analytics development.
• Collaborate with business SMEs, data analysts, data scientists, and BI content developers to understand core business requirements.
• Design and lead development of the data warehouse architecture, including data models, data marts, ETL processes, etc.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation of the warehouse and data mart architecture.
• Optimize data models and warehouse architecture for performance and scalability.
  • Team Leadership and Standards:
  • Lead and manage the software development lifecycle related to the data warehouse.
  • Guide and review the development work of data engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with data management processes.
    • Data Integration and Cross-Domain Collaboration:
    • Lead or participate in cross-domain teams for integrated data sources.
    • Provide technical leadership and expertise on data warehouse technology.
      • Data Security:
      • Lead design, development, and maintenance of a security model for the warehouse.Qualifications:Minimum Education and Experience:
        • Master's degree and at least 3 - 5 years of relevant experience OR
        • Bachelor's degree with at least 4 - 6 years of relevant experience OR
        • An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.Other Required Qualifications:
          • Proven experience leading data warehouse implementations in a Data Architect role.
          • Expertise in data warehouse design concepts, data modeling, and ETL.
          • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and evaluative skills.Preferred Qualifications:
            • Experience designing and building data warehouses on various platforms.
            • Extensive experience with Oracle database design and development.
