Enbridge is currently seeking a Supervisor-LNG Operations and Maintenance. This role has supervisory responsibility of Staff and Facilities for Enbridge Gas North Carolina Moriah Energy Center (MEC) LNG Plant located in Person County near Moriah, NC. This facility is under construction and will be a 24/7 operation with rotating shifts.

Initially, the Supervisor will collaborate with the MEC Project Team for the successful construction, commissioning and start-up of the facility. Additionally, the Supervisor will hire the LNG Technicians responsible for operating and maintaining the Plant.

Once completed, the primary responsibility is to oversee and lead personnel in the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of this plant. This role requires knowledge, understanding, and adherence to applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory codes, policies, and procedures. This position requires leadership skills to supervise 11 employees at the MEC LNG Plant, and various contract personnel for task specific jobs.

What You Will Do:

  • Requires input of long-term facility plans, and development and execution of operating and maintenance budgets.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in ensuring effective operation of the plant while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local authorities.
  • Make necessary purchases and maintenance schedules for reliable and compliant plant operations.
  • Supervises day-to-day operation of the liquefaction, storage and vaporization processes.
  • Monitors plant equipment and componentry for normal operation.
  • Prepares purchase and service requisitions for required materials and contractor services.
  • Directs maintenance and repair activities as needed, including planning plant outages for maintenance turnarounds.
  • Performs long-term planning for facility, including planned improvements.
  • Creates, tests, reviews, and revises standard operating procedures for plant process and equipment.
  • Assesses and monitors staffing levels; performs interviews, hiring, promotions, terminations, employee evaluations and performance ratings.
  • Coordinates and effectively manages training of all plant personnel.
  • Ensures compliance with state, federal and local regulations.
  • Coordinates with company, federal and state authorities on safety, environmental, regulatory and other audits.
  • Ensures appropriate housekeeping and tidiness of plant and control room.
  • Maintains accurate facility records through hardcopy and electronic data management systems.
  • Generates and tests, on a periodic basis, plant emergency response plans.
  • Purchases and oversees maintenance of all plant and personnel safety equipment.
  • Reviews and ensures compliance with environmental permits including timely reporting and records retention/management.
  • Maintains accurate chemical and waste manifests.
  • Works with Gas Control and Measurement & Control in preparing plant for gas consumption (liquefaction) and send-out (vaporization).
  • Reviews and analyzes performance data to identify best practices and standardize processes.
  • Prepares and manages annual facility workforce, operating and capital budgets.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

    Who You Are:
    • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of directly related experience; or Associate degree with 7+ years of directly related experience; or High school diploma or GED with 9+ years of directly related experience
      • Preferred: Mechanical, Electrical Technology, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology
      • Must have valid driver's license with a safe driving history.
      • Ability to utilize experience, knowledge, and skills to make sound judgment and decision-making in the safe and effective operation and maintenance of the plant.
      • Effective communication skills to communicate frequently with manager on key performance indicators of plant.
      • Ability to interact with local emergency response agencies including fire department, police departments, sheriff departments, 911 centers, government agencies, and neighborhood associations on behalf of the company to prepare for emergency events and maintain positive public standing.

        Other Working Conditions:
        • Requires working in confined spaces; on elevated work platforms; in extreme indoor and outdoor temperatures (heat and cold).
        • Requires working around energized equipment/wires; pressurized lines and valves; heavy machinery
        • Exposure to loud noise; fumes; and dust/grease/oil.
        • May require extended hours; occasional overnight shifts; or unscheduled on-call
        • Periods of extended office work/sitting

          Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 50 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
